Job Title

Volvo Technician / Volvo Service Technician

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Volvo Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain Volvo trucks, buses, construction equipment, or passenger vehicles. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Volvo systems, preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and mechanical/electrical repairs while ensuring high-quality service and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform routine maintenance and scheduled servicing on Volvo vehicles/equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and electronic faults using Volvo diagnostic tools.
- Repair and replace engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, steering, and drivetrain components.
- Troubleshoot electrical systems, sensors, ECUs, wiring, and CAN bus communication issues.
- Carry out preventive maintenance inspections to reduce equipment downtime.
- Read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and service bulletins.
- Perform engine overhauls and component replacements when required.
- Test vehicles after repairs to ensure proper functionality.
- Maintain accurate service reports and job documentation.
- Follow Volvo service standards, workshop procedures, and safety regulations.
- Coordinate with service advisors and customers regarding repair status and recommendations.
- Maintain workshop cleanliness and ensure proper use of tools and equipment.

Preferred Skills
- Experience with Volvo trucks, buses, construction equipment, or passenger cars.
- Knowledge of engine management systems and fault code diagnosis.




- Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Preferred Certifications (Optional)
- Volvo Technical Training Certification
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) or equivalent certification
- Valid driving license (Heavy Vehicle License preferred for truck/bus technicians)

Desired Candidate Profile

Required Qualifications

- Diploma/ITI in Automobile, Mechanical, Diesel Mechanic, or a related technical field.
- 5–8 years of experience as a Volvo Technician or Heavy Vehicle Technician.
- Experience with Volvo electronic troubleshooting.
- Solid understanding of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and transmissions.
- Ability to read technical drawings and service manuals.
- Good problem-solving and Strong communication skills.
