About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Assistant / Forklift Driver to join the Hela team at our Braeside, Melbourne, facility. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in maintaining the efficiency and safety of our warehouse operations. You will be responsible for supporting the smooth flow of goods through our Food Ingredient Blending facility, operating forklifts, sampling and picking goods, and ensuring that all warehouse activities comply with health and safety standards.

Your work will directly contribute to our ability to serve our customers effectively and maintain our reputation as a leading Food Ingredient provider.

Key responsibilities

- Operating forklifts safely and efficiently to move, stack and retrieve goods within the warehouse
- Assisting with the loading and unloading of vehicles
- Organising and maintaining warehouse stock, ensuring accurate inventory management
- Preparing goods for dispatch, including picking, packing and labelling items according to orders
- Conducting regular checks on warehouse equipment and reporting any maintenance issues
- Supporting the wider warehouse team to meet daily activities and deadlines
- Maintaining a clean and tidy warehouse environment to ensure safety and efficiency

What we're looking for

- A valid forklift licence
- Previous experience working in a warehouse or distribution environment is highly desirable
- A strong commitment to health and safety practices and compliance with workplace regulations
- Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual handling tasks regularly
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy when managing stock and processing orders




- Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues

- Reliability and punctuality, with a positive attitude towards work
- The ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines
- A valid driver's licence is advantageous
- A knowledge of SAP business 1 would be advantageous
