WANTED: A Quality Boilermaker Who Wants Ownership, Variety and Work They Can Be Proud Of
Dwaine's Weld Kalgoorlie You know the feeling.
You pull up to work, sit in the ute for an extra minute, and already know how the day's going to go.
Another rushed job. Another unclear instruction. Another last-minute change because someone didn't plan properly.
You're expected to take ownership, but the moment you do, you're second-guessed.
If you're looking for a workplace with higher standards, clear expectations, quality work and people who genuinely care about what they produce, this could be worth reading.
What Makes Dwaine's Weld Different?
We're not looking for someone who's only chasing the biggest roster or the longest hours. We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work.
Someone who enjoys producing quality repairs, keeping a tidy workspace, solving problems properly, and leaving every job knowing it was done right.
At Dwaine's Weld Kalgoorlie, you'll enjoy:
- $50–$65 per hour, depending on experience and suitability
- Monday to Friday, 6:00am–4:00pm
- Optional overtime, but not expected
- Local Kalgoorlie work, with FIFO opportunities considered
- Optional roster work
- Variety across heavy fabrication, bucket rebuilds, mine-site labour hire, repairs and field service
- A small team where your contribution genuinely matters
- Clear expectations and the freedom to take ownership
- A workshop that values quality, organisation and professionalism
In a small team, your work speaks for itself. Your attitude, workmanship, reliability and the way you treat clients all matter. If you enjoy being recognised for doing things properly, you'll fit in well here.
About Us
Dwaine's Weld is a Kalgoorlie-based boilermaking business servicing local, national and international clients.
Our work includes
- Heavy fabrication
- Bucket rebuilds and repairs
- Maintenance and modifications
- Shutdown support
- Mine-site labour hire
- Drive-in, drive-out field work
We're a growing business without unnecessary layers of management. The right person won't just fill a position—they'll help shape how we work, improve systems, raise standards and become an important part of the team.
We want people who motivate themselves, take ownership of their work, and care about the result even when no one is standing over them.
The Role
You'll be responsible for:
- Fabricating, repairing and modifying heavy equipment and client assets
- Producing accurate, high-quality workmanship
- Working across workshop and mine-site jobs where required
- Managing your workload without compromising quality
- Keeping work areas organised, safe and skilled
- Communicating clearly with the team and clients
- Completing job reporting using our systems
- Solving problems using your experience and judgement
What You'll Bring
- Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade (or equivalent)
- Current WA Driver's Licence
- Ability to pass drug and alcohol screening and police checks
- Reliable, self-motivated and able to work independently
- Good communication and basic computer skills
- High standards of safety, quality and housekeeping
- Pride in your workmanship
If This Sounds Like You
If you've been in the trade long enough, you know the difference between a job that simply pays the bills and one you can genuinely be proud of. We're looking for someone who notices when something isn't right, prefers to solve problems instead of working around them, and values doing the job properly the first time.
If you want strong pay without endless overtime, varied work without constant chaos, and a small team where your contribution genuinely matters, we'd love to hear from you.
