Join our Specialist MS and Acquired Neurological Conditions program and help people build confidence, independence, and meaningful careers.
As an Employment Development Consultant at MS Queensland, you’ll connect local job seekers with inclusive employers, creating opportunities that change lives and strengthen the Townsville community.
- Full-time, on-site role based in Townsville | Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm.
- We offer SCHADS Level 3 ( $40.49 - $43.42 per hour commensurate with experience) + super + salary packaging for this role .
In this role, you will:
- Develop personalised, strengths-based plans that help people achieve their employment goals.
- Work closely with clinicians to provide coordinated, holistic support.
- Coach clients in resume writing, interview preparation, and workplace confidence.
- Build strong relationships with local employers and connect clients with suitable opportunities and supports.
- Support clients through every stage of their employment journey, from job search to placement and ongoing success including:
- Work preparation and goal setting
- Job searching and application support
- Employer engagement and business development
- Reverse marketing job seekers to employers
- Post placement support
Requirements You bring:
- A genuine commitment to inclusive employment and helping people achieve their goals.
- Experience in employment services, disability support, community services, or transferable skills from recruitment, customer service, sales, coaching, education, case management, or similar roles.
- Strong communication,
relationship-building and problem-solving skills.
- A keen interest in understanding and supporting people with disability (training provided).
- Confidence working independently and as part of a cooperative team.
- Good digital skills, including Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new systems.
- Curiosity, adaptability, and a commitment to continuous learning and growth.
Compliance requirements To be successful in this role, you’ll be required to complete:
- NDIS Worker Screening
- Blue Card
- National Police Check
- NDIS Worker Orientation Training
(MS Queensland covers the cost of the Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening Cards.)
