The position is on a temporary full-time basis of 5 days per week for 6 weeks - 6 October to 13 November. The hours for this position are 7:15 to 3:00 pm - 7.25 hours per day.

Your Role:

A summary of the role that's being advertised, utilised to educate the candidate on the vacancy.

The School Technical Officer plays an integral role in supporting teaching and learning by ensuring the school's information and communication technology (ICT) systems operate efficiently and effectively.





The role provides technical support to staff and students, maintains and troubleshoots a wide range of ICT equipment and infrastructure, and assists with the ongoing management of the school's network environment.

Working collaboratively with the school community and departmental support teams, the position contributes to a high-quality learning environment by delivering responsive customer service, providing technical advice and helping maximise the effective use of technology across the school.

Responsibilities include:

- Provide responsive technical support to staff and students, resolving ICT issues and delivering excellent customer service.
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair a wide range of ICT equipment, including computers, printers, audiovisual devices and network hardware.
- Support the operation and maintenance of the school's ICT network, ensuring systems are reliable, secure and fit for purpose.
- Provide technical advice and guidance to staff to maximise the effective use of technology in teaching, learning and school operations.
- Maintain ICT assets, infrastructure and related records, while working collaboratively with departmental support teams to deliver effective technology solutions..

About You:
