Finance Manager - Financial Reporting (Contract)
Location: Sydney CBD
Contract: Immediate Start | Fixed-Term Contract (through February 2027)

The Opportunity
An established Australian real estate investment and funds management business is seeking an experienced Finance Manager - Financial Reporting to join its Sydney finance team on a fixed-term contract.

This is a hands-on role supporting a diversified property funds platform through a busy financial reporting period, with responsibility for statutory reporting, technical accounting, audit coordination and financial governance across multiple investment vehicles.

Working closely with the Financial Controller and broader finance team, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality financial reporting outcomes while also contributing to process improvement initiatives designed to enhance the efficiency and scalability of the finance function.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare statutory financial statements and supporting disclosures across multiple property trusts and investment vehicles.
- Coordinate external audit requirements and manage the financial reporting timetable.
- Prepare technical accounting papers and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards.
- Assist with half-year and year-end financial reporting obligations.
- Support tax calculations and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Prepare consolidated financial reports and board reporting packs.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders across finance and investment teams to deliver accurate and timely reporting.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial reporting processes,



controls and automation.

About You

You will be a CA or CPA qualified finance professional with experience in financial reporting, statutory accounting and external audit coordination.
You'll ideally bring experience from:

- Property funds management
- Real estate investment
- REITs / A-REITs
- Property developers or investment managers

You'll also demonstrate:

- Strong knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards (AASB) and IFRS
- Experience preparing statutory financial statements and consolidations
- Strong technical accounting capability
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- A collaborative, hands-on approach with strong attention to detail
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems
