Job Responsibilities
- Read and interpret plan and specifications
- Determine materials required, dimensions and installation procedures
- Prepare detailed layouts and cutting lists to ensure precision and efficiency in the construction process
- Erect scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground levels.
- Shape or cut materials to specified measurements, using hand tools, machines, or power saws.
- Erect the framework, including panelized systems and roof framing, according to project specifications
- Construct concrete formwork to support and shape concrete structures,
ensuring it meets design specifications
- Install fascia panels, sheath roofs, and fit exterior wall cladding, as well as door and window frames.
- Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintaining a secure and clean environment.
Skills, qualifications and experience required for this role
- Technical Carpentry Skills including tool handling, cutting and shaping wood, measuring, lay out and material knowledge
- Problem solving skills
- Workplace and safety skills
- Certificate III/IV in Carpentry
- At least 1 year of experience in similar role
