You’ll join our AI & Emerging Technology practice , working alongside architects, engineers, data specialists, and delivery leaders.

This is a close‑knit squad of great minds – design‑led, thoughtful, and deeply collaborative. The team values clarity of thinking, sound judgement, and shared ownership of outcomes. You’ll work together to untangle complex problem spaces and build AI systems that teams and clients can trust.

Role

We’re hiring an AI Solution Architect to lead the design and architectural oversight of complex, AI‑enabled solutions – including agentic systems, retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG), and data‑driven platforms.

This role is not about chasing tools or novelty. It’s about design‑led architecture , structured problem decomposition, and making deliberate trade‑offs between capability, risk, cost, and complexity. You will ensure AI systems are explainable, evaluable, governable, and fit for production.

You’ll act as an architectural authority during delivery, supporting squads through ambiguity and ensuring solutions align with enterprise architecture, security,



and governance expectations.

What you’ll do

- Lead solution design using Cloudwerx’s Tesseract methodology or equivalent design‑led frameworks
- Translate ambiguous, complex problem spaces into clear, structured architectural components
- Make explicit trade‑offs across capability, risk, cost, and complexity
- Produce clear architectural artefacts that enable confident execution by delivery teams

AI & Agentic System Design

- Design AI‑enabled systems including retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG), vector search and semantic retrieval, agentic workflows and orchestration patterns, and apply sound judgement on where AI is appropriate versus traditional approaches
- Design systems that are observable, evaluable, explainable, and governable
- Maintain a strong foundational understanding of AI system components and interactions

Delivery Support & Architectural Oversight

- Act as architectural authority during delivery phases
- Support squads in navigating complexity, technical risk, and high‑ambiguity decisions
- Intervene to unblock critical architectural challenges when required
- Ensure delivered solutions align with enterprise architecture, security, and governance standards

Quality, Evaluation & Risk Thinking

- Design or contribute to evaluation frameworks covering accuracy, relevance, and reliability
- Embed governance, ethical,



and risk considerations from the outset
- Ensure AI systems are production‑ready – not just functionally correct

Capability Building & Mentorship

- Mentor consultants and engineers in design‑led thinking and AI system architecture
- Uplift internal capability through architectural review, exemplars, and guidance
- Contribute to Cloudwerx AI patterns, playbooks, and standards

What we’re looking for

- Strong background in solution architecture, systems design, or complex platform delivery
- Experience designing distributed and/or data‑driven systems
- Exposure to AI/ML concepts and architectures (hands‑on or adjacent)
- Demonstrated use of structured design or architecture methodologies
- Comfort working in ambiguous problem spaces and bringing clarity through design
- Strong judgement and ability to make pragmatic architectural decisions

Nice to have (not mandatory)

- Experience with RAG, vector databases, or LLM‑enabled systems
- Exposure to agentic patterns or orchestration frameworks
- Consulting or client‑facing experience in complex environments
- Work on meaningful, production‑grade AI solutions – not experiments
- Influence how AI architecture is practiced across the organisation
- Learn and grow alongside deeply thoughtful architects and engineers
- Flexible remote and hybrid working across ANZ
