Our client a leading commercial business operating across the infrastructure, energy, resources, transport, defence and building and construction sectors is seeking a legal counsel to join its growing legal team.

Position: Legal Counsel / Senior Legal Counsel
Projects: High Profile Projects
Location: Sydney
Responsibilities
- Providing strategic commercial and legal advice on major infrastructure projects across transport, renewables, and resources.
- Reviewing, drafting and negotiating contracts.
- Drafting precedent suites of commercial agreements relevant to the infrastructure market.
- Providing advice on contractual dispute resolution procedures.
Key Requirements
- Ideally a minimum of 5-8 years PQE gained either from a renowned private practice or an in‑house organisation.
- Experience advising on complex transactions, with exposure to project delivery issues.
- In‑depth understanding of construction law and contracts.
- Experience with commercial policies and identifying key risks within contracts.
- Proven ability to manage competing deadlines.
- A pro‑active and commercial approach to projects and workloads.
