About the role

We are seeking a proactive and commercially minded Area Branch Manager – Sydney to lead the operations of Onsite’s mechanical and portables branches across Sydney, ensuring each location operates safely, cohesively and profitably. Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager, this role is responsible for:

- - Taking full accountability for Sydney profitability, budget performance, and alignment of operating costs with revenue
- Overseeing and review daily operations of branches within the Area including invoicing accuracy, purchasing controls, labour management, logistics, and supplier relationships
- Leading the installations for Traffic and Site Accommodation products delivering installation to customer expectations and maintaining margins to budget.
- Monitoring transport recovery, sub‑hire expenses, and unrecovered transport, implementing corrective actions where required
- Supporting the management of the existing customer base and the development of relationships with new and existing customers across Sydney along with the Sales team




- Ensuring effective asset management, including stocktakes, statutory and preventative maintenance, asset readiness, workshop productivity, and utilisation of slow‑moving or underperforming equipment
- Leading all people and culture activities including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, learning and development, succession planning, and employee engagement
- Maintaining solid relationships with relevant stakeholder teams such as Sales, Assets, Accounts and People & Culture to support Area objectives.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- - Demonstrated strategic capability with the tenacity to pursue goals and targets in challenging market conditions
- Intellectual ability and analytical skills with a proven ability to understand complex business issues and make robust decisions, often under pressure.
- Leadership qualities and a genuine desire to coach and develop talent at all levels throughout the business.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate, present and engage effectively at all levels.
- Exceptional prioritisation and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple competing objectives.
- Able to work with a diverse array of people,



challenging in a non-confrontational way and builds successful working relationships.
- 5 + years of relevant operational leadership & people management experience across a multi-site environment
