Consumers of Mental Health WA (CoMHWA) is the peak body for people living with mental health challenges in Western Australia. We are a lived experience organisation who are 100% Peer-led.
CoMHWA’s Community Engagement Officer promotes CoMHWA membership and activities, and engages with community and individuals in group settings. A core part of this role will be knowing and engaging with your local community to promote CoMHWA activities, groups and events.
The ideal candidate will be able to:
- Coordinate consumer activities, including external promotional stalls.
- Identify and maintain stakeholder relationships for hard to reach areas such as inpatient mental health wards and hospitals.
- Provide regular engagement opportunities to community groups and individuals who may not otherwise engage with CoMHWA.
- Support the production of effective stakeholder engagement communications and resources to promote CoMHWA and our wider services.
