The Opportunity

The Patrolman is responsible for undertaking civil maintenance duties and repairs aimed at enhancing the liveability and workplace of our growing region.

This role encompasses a range of duties and responsibilities which may vary as directed by Council. The key ones include:

- Undertaking a range of civil maintenance and repair duties.

- Effectively using your communication skills to ensure an understanding in maintaining assigned equipment. Undertaking traffic control duties when required.

- Guidepost and signage maintenance.

- Able to effectively operate small plant and equipment including ride on mowers.

About Yourself

A person in this position will need to have relevant knowledge and experience in various aspects of Civil Construction and Maintenance Works, OR be able to demonstrate equivalent related experience. It is also highly desirable for the successful candidate to have:

- knowledge of the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) and its application;

- 'C' Class Driver's Licence (essential);

- ACDC Chemical Licence (desirable); Chainsaw Ticket (desirable); Traffic Control Ticket; and

- MUTCD, Level 1 and/or 2 (desirable).
