2026 Legacy Week is on from 31 August - 5th September. and we need you!
This week-long appeal has been a cornerstone of Legacy's fundraising efforts since the 1940s, and Legacy volunteers (Legatees), supported by friends, family, caring community members, Defence personnel, schools and businesses will be across the ACT in different locations promoting Legacy and selling Legacy merchandise to raise funds.
This money is 100% used to support Legacy beneficiaries; who include widows, widowers and the families of veterans who have died, and the families of those veterans who have given their health in service to Australia and can no longer support their families as previously. Assistance includes activity and educational to the veteran's children from 0-25 years.
Funds raised during Legacy Week will provide veterans’ families with personalised care through advocacy, financial aid, education and development, and emotional support.
Volunteers are part of a team (of two or more,
with one being an experienced Legacy volunteer) and days and times determined by availability of volunteers.
