About the role

Clean and Green Solutions - Solar and battery established over 10 years is seeking a Licensed Solar and Battery Electrician to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a key position within our growing renewable energy division, based in Somerton Park, SA 5044. As a Licensed Solar and Battery Electrician, you will play a crucial role in the design, installation, and maintenance of solar photovoltaic systems and battery storage solutions for residential and commercial clients. Your expertise will be fundamental to delivering high-quality renewable energy installations that help our customers transition to sustainable power sources whilst contributing to the company's reputation for excellence in the renewable energy sector.

Key responsibilities

- Install, inspect, and maintain solar photovoltaic systems and battery storage solutions in compliance with Australian electrical standards and safety regulations

- Perform electrical testing and commissioning of solar and battery systems to ensure optimal performance and safety

- Troubleshoot and diagnose faults in solar and battery systems, implementing corrective measures as required

- Maintain accurate documentation of all installations, testing, and maintenance activities

- Liaise with clients to explain system functionality, safety procedures, and maintenance requirements

- Stay current with evolving solar and battery technologies and industry best practices

- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with relevant Australian Standards and electrical codes

- Collaborate with other team members to deliver projects on schedule and within budget

What we're looking for





- A valid Full Electrical License (or equivalent qualification) recognised in South Australia

- Specific experience and demonstrated competency in solar photovoltaic installation and maintenance

- Experience with battery storage system installation and commissioning

- Strong knowledge of relevant Australian electrical standards, including AS/NZS 3000 and AS/NZS 4777

- Understanding of DC and AC electrical systems and their integration in renewable energy applications

- Proven ability to work safely at heights and in various weather conditions

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team

- A commitment to ongoing professional development and industry certifications

- A valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to job sites across the region

- Preferably, qualifications or experience in battery storage systems such as lithium-ion or lead-acid technology

- Previous experience working for a renewable energy company or solar installation business would be advantageous
