The Injury Management Unit plays a critical role in supporting employees and the Department by managing all workers' compensation claims, prioritising injured workers’ rehabilitation, health and wellbeing, and recovery with the goal of returning them to their pre-injury roles as soon as practicable.

About the Role

The Senior HR Consultant role provides high level consultancy services and advice involving injury management, including the investigation and management of complex workers compensation claims, and coordination of rehabilitation and return to work arrangements, to ensure delivery of effective people management services throughout the Department. The role also performs functions of a Return to Work Coordinator in accordance with legislative and departmental requirements as required.

- Ongoing - ASAP start date
- Full-time work, 73.5 hours per fortnight
- Four (4) weeks accrued recreation leave + accrued sick/carers leave
- 3 Christmas stand-down days (in addition to 20 days annual leave, pro-rata)

We are looking for

Essential

- Current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (RWVP) with a registration Status – Employment

Desirable

- Membership of a relevant professional organisation.

- The completion of tertiary qualifications in human resources management or relevant field, or a significant background in human resources management.

- Injury Management Coordinator in accordance with the provisions of the Workers Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1988.
