About The Role Join the Andrew Love Cancer Centre (ALCC), a comprehensive cancer centre that has been delivering expert cancer care to the Geelong and Barwon South West community since 1992. Our service provides adults across the region with access to world‑class cancer treatment in a supportive and caring environment, supported by state-of-the‑art facilities, advanced technology, and highly skilled multidisciplinary health professionals.

As Director of Radiation Oncology, you will provide strategic and operational leadership for the Radiation Oncology Unit, ensuring the delivery of safe, high‑quality, patient‑centred care. The role is responsible for the planning, development, and continuous improvement of Radiation Oncology services across Barwon Health, ensuring services remain responsive to the evolving needs of our growing regional community.

Working closely with senior clinical and operational leaders, you will drive service innovation, support excellence in clinical practice, and contribute to the ongoing growth and reputation of the Andrew Love Cancer Centre as a leading regional provider of Radiation Oncology services.

Key Responsibilities

Lead strategic planning and continuous improvement of Radiation Oncology services, driving safe,



high‑quality, patient‑centred care aligned with Barwon Health priorities.

Provide clinical and operational leadership across inpatient, outpatient and outreach services, ensuring timely access, effective resource management and compliance with national standards.

Foster excellence in workforce, education and research by supporting multidisciplinary teams, registrar and junior doctor training, clinical audit and innovation initiatives.

Strengthen patient experience and service performance through collaborative partnerships, responsive complaint management, quality improvement activities and evidence‑based practice.

What We’re Looking For

Fellowship of RANZCR with current AHPRA specialist registration and recognised specialist qualifications (NSQAC).

Extensive experience in Radiation Oncology, with a strong commitment to safe, high‑quality and patient‑centred care.

Demonstrated commitment to education, registrar and junior doctor training, research, and continuous quality improvement.

Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads, manage competing demands and drive service development.
