Overview
This position will be a temporary, fixed-term 6-month position supporting our Merchandising Team in our Head Office. The Retail Planner will lead the Merchandising team in the setup and implementation of Supply Chain and Replenishment projects, and provide Planning and Analysis support during key Merchandising moments. This role will work closely with the Senior Logistics Manager and Warehouse Manager to ensure the product offer in each retail location is optimal and effective at all times.
Main activities
Set Up and Implementation of Supply Chain Projects
- Lead role in managing the setup and implementation of the Local Distribution Center and Replenishment projects within the Merchandising function
- Establish processes, systems and protocols required to integrate effective merchandise flow throughout the supply chain
- Act as the key liaison from within the Merchandising team on supply chain management, coordinating with Retail Operations, BOH/Store Admin, Logistics, Inventory, IT, Central Supply, and Regional/Group Merchandising
- Build and maintain effective relationships with all retail locations and teams to achieve optimal inventory levels and support overall business objectives
Stock Management, Reorders and Replenishment
- Establish and evolve the replenishment strategy and manage automated Min/Max and manual allocation systems
- Analyze performance and forecast stock needs for permanent stocks (PSI) and reorderable lines, and manage the reordering process
- Involved in quota, push offer and replenishment management for Leather Goods
- Oversee holistic stock optimization, including transfers, deliveries and aged stock tracking
Planning and analysis support at key Merchandising moments
- Provide planning and analysis support during key periods – PSI, OTB and Pricing cycles
- Calculate and communicate the Incentive and Commissions program
Metier Management Support
- Support including but not limited to performance analysis, forecasting, and reordering of métiers as directed
Performance criteria
- Achieve the targets set during the annual appraisal / review
- Achieve optimized stock efficiency for the subsidiary
- Contribute to the overall development of the Hermes House
Candidate Profile
- Analytical mind, highly numeric and financially oriented. Tertiary qualifications in Finance or Mathematics are preferred
- Experience as an Assistant/Junior Planner or similar, with involvement in allocations, core lines planning, deliveries tracking, order portfolio maintenance and merchandise reporting
- Efficient, detail-oriented, and able to work autonomously
- Excellent interpersonal skills when dealing with internal and external parties
- Ability to collaborate with others within the Merchandise Team and other departments
- Technologically savvy with strong Excel skills and the ability to adapt to various retail, replenishment, logistics and data reporting systems
- Team player who can work autonomously with effective time management
- Responsible, reliable, self-motivated and able to take initiative
