An established national construction company is seeking an experienced Snr Design Manager with exposure to projects $50-300m across any of the following sectors from health, social housing, government, civic and community. The builder are known for structured systems, disciplined delivery, and long-term career opportunities, this is a rare chance to join a high-performing team.
This role has come about from this builder having just secured $500m of work across 3 projects.
The Role:
Reporting to a Senior Design Manager, you will work closely with your design team, as well as project leadership, engineering and commercial teams, to lead, coordinate and deliver design solutions across the project lifecycle. This role is suited to a Design Manager who thrives on ownership, collaboration and delivering high-quality outcomes in complex architectictural and service heavy projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate design consultants and internal design team members
- Shape and deliver design solutions across all project stages
- Drive design programme and milestone deliverables
- Ensure designs are fully coordinated and construction-ready
- Provide buildability, value management and technical input
- Collaborate closely with commercial, engineering and project leadership teams
- Manage stakeholder and authority interfaces as required
About You:
- Proven Design Manager experience on commercial projects
- Experience delivering large-scale, complex projects
- Strong consultant and stakeholder management capability
- Commercially aware with solid buildability knowledge
- Comfortable operating in structured, high-performing project teams
