About the Role

Technical Sales Engineer – Industrial Refrigeration (IR). Relocate to Australia – Opportunities in Sydney, Melbourne & Brisbane. Join Gordon Brothers Industries, now part of Johnson Controls.

Responsibilities

- Identify and secure new business opportunities within the Australian Industrial Refrigeration & Heat Pump marketplace.
- Develop and execute sales strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Provide market insights, including competitor activity and industry trends.
- Work closely with engineering and project teams to develop designs, costings, and proposals.
- Use specialist selection software to optimise equipment choices.
- Build solid relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to determine pricing and solutions.
- Manage the end‑to‑end sales process, including SFDC management, bid development, and legal reviews.
- Represent the business with the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.




- Ensure full compliance with Johnson Controls’ Safety and Ethics Policies.

Qualifications

- Experience in industrial refrigeration, including product knowledge, design, or solution sales.
- A degree in Engineering or a related field (preferred but not essential).
- 3+ years Technical Sales experience.
- Outstanding communication skills.
- Strong negotiation abilities and a consultative approach.
- Commercial awareness and strategic thinking.
- The ability to build trust quickly and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- A proactive, collaborative, and customer‑focused mindset.
