Senior Marketing Analyst, Marketing Analytics - APAC (Sydney)
The Office of the CXO drives effectiveness across the EA Experiences organization with a focus on excellence in business operations, comprehensive fan intelligence, and internal technology and business solutions. We empower teams across the Experiences organization with strategic prioritization, investments, resources, data, insights, and technology required to accelerate business outcomes in service of our goals.
The EA Marketing Analytics team is looking for an analytics professional to take on the role of Senior Analyst in Sydney, Australia, reporting to the Director of Marketing Analytics. The role focuses on digging into diverse data sets related to marketing campaigns, applying leading‑edge data analytics techniques, extracting insights, creating data visualizations, and communicating recommendations to marketing partners to guide action and bring impact.
Responsibilities
- Leverage measurement toolkits to help stakeholders evaluate campaign effectiveness and ROI.
- Select, process, and explore data from an array of internal and third‑party data sources for marketing channels such as video, social media, websites, email, and more.
- Create presentations with crisp data visualizations to tell compelling data stories, distilling quantitative insights into easy‑to‑digest and intuitive presentation form.
- Work closely with APAC marketing partners to understand their needs and deliver data analysis to support decision‑making that leads to improved marketing performance, ultimately becoming a trusted advisor.
- Take initiative and identify opportunities to make business impact.
- Approach analyses with minimal guidance and design a structured, strategic plan before digging into data.
- Collaborate across a global network of colleagues, prioritizing teamwork.
- Manage multiple projects involving complex data collection, analysis, and application.
- Build on enthusiasm for continuous learning and improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) or economics; advanced degrees preferred.
- 3‑5 years of relevant hands‑on analytical experience, with the ability to manage the analytical process and translate findings into actionable recommendations. Prior marketing analytics experience is an advantage.
- Knowledge of and practical experience with statistics, probability, and hypothesis testing.
- Strong SQL skills, including experience querying complex datasets from multiple sources.
- Proficiency in R statistical programming (or equivalent) to explore diverse data sets and create descriptive and predictive models using methods such as correlation analysis, regression modeling, and cluster analysis.
- Curious and creative, enjoying exploration of data and discovery of opportunities.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to operationalize abstract questions into quantitative investigations and tackle them data‑driven.
- Strong communication skills, including regular project updates and analytical storytelling.
- Ability to work collaboratively as a team and with other teams spread globally.
- Enthusiasm and motivation to challenge thinking and promote meaningful change.
