MTC has an exciting opportunity for a motivated Business Intelligence Analyst to join our IT Team located In our Head Office situated in Marrickville .
Reporting to the BI Manager , the Business Intelligence Analyst will design, develop, and maintain data solutions that enable actionable insights across the organisation. The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Develop and deliver reports, dashboards, and data visualisations using SQL, Excel, and Python
- Analyse data to provide actionable insights into organisational performance
- Support forecasting, trend analysis, and “what‑if” scenarios
- Design, build, and maintain datasets to enable ongoing analytics and future AI initiatives
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, document, and validate reporting requirements
- Maintain and enhance data warehouse structures, datasets, and capabilities
- Integrate and analyse data from internal systems and external data providers
- Support and manage the existing portfolio of reports and dashboards
- Contribute to the organisation-wide data and analytics strategy
- Perform ad hoc analysis and other duties as required
About You
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Holds a Bachelor’s degree in IT or a related field
- At least 3 years’ experience in data or business intelligence roles
- Strong skills in SQL and working with databases
- Confident Excel user for analysis and reporting
- Experience building reports and dashboards using BI tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau)
- Familiar with data integration and ETL processes
- Experience working with Salesforce data and basic SOQL querying
- Comfortable working with both cloud and on‑premise systems
- Able to work with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills
- Communicates complex information clearly in plain English
- Self‑motivated, adaptable, and able to work independently or as part of a team
