DC Facilities Engineering Specialist

Location: Fujitsu Greystanes, New South Wales, Australia

We are looking for a Facilities Engineering Specialist to join our Western Sydney Data Centre team. This is a permanent, full‑time role on a rostered shift pattern with 24x7 coverage, providing salary plus benefits associated with shift work.

Roles and Responsibilities

- Oversee data centre security, including physical and access procedures, IT infrastructure, Data Centre Plant and equipment maintenance.
- Identify faults and issues with the data centre environment; troubleshoot and, where possible, resolve them, escalating to vendors or internal teams as required.
- Assist with regular and ad‑hoc maintenance to improve efficiency and reliability of a large, technically complex facility.
- Lead and coordinate incident management and support procedure reviews.
- Prepare monthly reporting related to the data hall environmental conditions, power usage, and SLA adherence.
- Manage risk and assess WHS matters around the data centre, identifying and addressing WHS hazards and incidents.
- Engage with clients and service providers during the coordination of facility maintenance.
- Undertake customer remote hands, cross connections & remote console sessions.
- Interact with carriers and service delivery.
- Manage subcontractor supervision for maintenance, repair and new installations on a 24x7 basis.
- Ensure Fujitsu Data Centre National Access Procedure is always followed.

Requirements and Experience





- Minimum 2 years experience working within a data centre or similar environment.
- Understanding of structured cabling systems and cross connections.
- Ability to work independently and troubleshoot customer issues.
- Experience in operational efficiencies and process creation/review.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills with a "can do" attitude.
- Willingness to learn new skills in a agile environment.
- Experience with MS 365 environments (Excel, Word, SharePoint).
- Awareness of WHS principles.
