Rehabilitation Consultant - Psychologist/Rehab Counsellor

As a Rehabilitation Consultant, you will provide occupational rehabilitation services to clients with physical and psychological conditions, fostering their return to health and work.

Responsibilities
- Manage case loads with support from Rehabilitation Assistants to alleviate administrative tasks
- Apply clinical knowledge to improve return-to-work outcomes
- Develop and implement injury prevention and workplace education programmes with employers and employees
- Collaborate with injured workers, employers, medical and allied health professionals
- Work across schemes such as workers’ compensation, compulsory third party,
life insurance, Comcare, Department of Veterans Affairs, and employer‑funded injury prevention programmes
- Assist clients with injury or health conditions to achieve return‑to‑health and work goals
- Conduct a variety of assessments: initial, ADL, workplace and vocational assessments, reviewing diagnosis, supporting treatment plans, addressing psychosocial barriers, and identifying suitable employment opportunities
Qualifications
- Experience in occupational rehabilitation highly regarded
- Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Health Sciences, or Rehabilitation Counselling
- General or provisional registration with AHPRA, or eligibility for ASORC Associate/Full membership
- Excellent communication, compassion, empathy, and time‑management skills
- Current NSW driver’s licence and access to own car with comprehensive insurance
