This role is located at our processing site in Casino, NSW and requires daily on-site presence.

Richmond Dairies is a leading Australian-owned dairy processor based in Northern NSW. We specialise in the production of high-quality bulk dairy ingredients supplied to international markets across Asia, the Middle East, and beyond.

About the role

Responsibilities

- Lead product development projects across dairy powders, dairy protein concentrates, frozen dairy products and other dairy ingredient categories.
- Manage the technical pipeline from concept through scale-up and commercialisation.
- Ensure all new products comply with international food safety, quality, and export regulations .
- Conduct product testing, formulation adjustments, nutritional analysis, and performance evaluations .
- Work closely with Production, Quality Assurance, Sales, and Export teams to deliver customer-focused solutions.
- Maintain robust awareness of global dairy market trends and customer specifications.
- Optimise processes to improve yield, consistency, and product performance in line with customer requirements.

Qualifications





- A degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or Dairy Science (or related discipline).
- 3–5+ years of experience in dairy or food ingredient product development , ideally within a manufacturing/export environment.
- Knowledge of dairy processing, formulation, and quality systems .
- Strong understanding of export compliance and international customer requirements .
- Ability to translate technical capabilities into commercial solutions for overseas markets.
- Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work across multiple teams.
