This is a standalone role is responsible for overseeing the movement, scheduling, and availability of a fleet of heavy machinery across multiple sites. You’ll manage day-to-day logistics, organising permitting and calculating axcel weightings while also coordinating the logistics of both preventative and reactive maintenance to minimise downtime. The role is office-based and relies heavily on in-house systems and Excel to keep fleet operations running efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate transport and allocation of heavy machinery between sites
- Manage logistics schedules using internal software and Excel
- Plan and coordinate logistics for preventative and breakdown maintenance
- Liaise with site teams and maintenance providers to align equipment availability
- Track fleet movements, maintenance status, and resolve clashes or delays
- Maintain accurate records, reporting, and fleet utilisation data
- Act as the central point of contact for all fleet and maintenance logistics
What You’ll Bring
- Experience in logistics, plant coordination, or fleet scheduling
- Exposure to fleet maintenance coordination (preventative and reactive)
- Strong Excel skills and confidence using internal systems
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
- Explicit communication and practical problem-solving skills
- Background in construction, civil, or heavy equipment environments (preferred)
