The Maritime Design and Engineering team draws on the combined strength of BMT and AMT, bringing together more than 40 years of experience across Naval Architecture, Mechanical, Electrical, and Combat Systems/C4I Engineering to meet growing industry demand.

Key Responsibilities
- Work on a diverse range of exciting projects in support of Australian and regional maritime programs, both new construction and sustaining/upgrading ships.
- Perform specialist design and engineering integration of combat management systems, communications, weapons and sensor systems on naval vessels.
- Provide Combat Systems/C4I engineering support and guidance within whole of ship teams involving all technical disciplines.
- Undertake engineering projects from investigations through design concepts, OEM interaction, preliminary and detail design to production implementation and customer acceptance.
- Represent the company on a professional and technical basis with Defence/Navy clients and broader OEM and system suppliers.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- A relevant Engineering degree (e.g., Computer Systems, Electronics, or Communications).
- Excellent written communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Well‑developed problem diagnosis and solving skills.
- Effective time management skills and strong attention to detail.
- Motivation and drive to develop your technical capabilities in a multi‑discipline environment.
Due to the nature of the work, you must be an Australian Citizen to be eligible for an Australian Defence Security Clearance. The selection process will include pre‑employment screening including a Police Records Check.
