The Opportunity:
We are expanding our reach to senior secondary education (years 11 and 12) and are creating exceptional Mathspace textbooks aligned with the latest curriculum for NSW, VIC, and QLD. This is an exciting opportunity for educators with expertise in senior exam preparation to contribute significantly to our innovative platform. Your work will directly impact hundreds of thousands of students across Australia and beyond, preparing them for critical examinations and future academic pursuits.
We are recruiting senior educators for our new series of 11/12 books, to be released in 2025/2026:
- Team Lead: Full-time position responsible for content creation, team management of contractors, and guiding curriculum alignment, coherence, and rigour.
- Teacher Contractors: Part-time roles (minimum 15-20 hours/week) involving writing, editing, and reviewing topics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and structure advanced mathematics content for years 11 and 12, aligned with QLD, VIC, and NSW senior curricula, focusing on exam preparation.
- Must be an expert in one of these states with sufficient experience to interpret standards for others.
- Review and update existing Mathspace materials for senior secondary levels.
- Create challenging exam-style questions balancing procedural skills, conceptual understanding, and real-world application.
- Design detailed lesson plans and educational resources to complement questions and enhance learning.
- Collaborate with our team to ensure content quality and coherence across modules.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in teaching or curriculum development for years 11 and 12 mathematics.
- Extensive knowledge of exam formats, question types, and assessment criteria for senior secondary mathematics.
- Minimum of 5 years teaching experience in senior secondary education, preferably with exam preparation or assessment design.
- Collaborative, proactive work ethic, with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to meet project deadlines.
Desirable:
- Background in coding or educational technology.
- Willingness to leverage AI tools to automate and improve workflows.
- Familiarity with recent curriculum changes in senior secondary mathematics.
- Experience in remote or digital education environments.
