Development Officer

About the Opportunity

We're looking for a motivated Development Officer to join our development team and support delivery across a diverse and exciting project pipeline, including our Embark land lease communities, our East Victoria Park townhouse project, and Embark Town Centre. You'll report to both our Senior Development Manager and our Development Manager, giving you exposure to two different perspectives and ways of working across the business.

This is a full-time role. We're especially keen to hear from someone currently working in planning, building or construction who's looking to make the move into development — final-year students will also be considered, provided you can commit to full-time hours.

Working closely with our Development Managers, you'll get broad exposure across the development lifecycle, including:

• Town planning and development approvals

• Design and consultant coordination

• Due diligence, feasibility and site analysis support

• Contract administration and builder liaison

• Sales and marketing coordination

• Reporting, project administration and financial tracking

What makes this role genuinely unique is the breadth of exposure on offer — across Embark you'll learn land civils, home construction and resort construction, and across East Victoria Park and Embark Town Centre you'll learn residential and commercial built form delivery. Very few Development Officer roles give you this breadth across land development and construction side by side, rather than confining you to one discipline.

About You

You'll hold a relevant tertiary qualification in property, planning, construction,



urban design or a related discipline (final-year students will also be considered), and have gained some experience working for a planning consultancy, a builder or construction company, a real estate agency, or a property development environment. Maybe you're already in one of these roles and ready to make the jump into development — that's exactly who we're after.

We're looking for someone who will:

• Bring energy, curiosity and a genuine interest in property development

• Be organised, detail-oriented and comfortable managing multiple moving parts

• Communicate confidently with consultants, authorities, builders and internal stakeholders

• Take ownership of tasks and run with them — we'll train you, but we won't micromanage you

• Share our commitment to sustainable, forward-thinking development

• Hold a current driver's licence and be willing to travel to project sites down south from time to time

Prior exposure to residential, townhouse or land lease community projects is a bonus, but we're just as interested in bright, capable people ready to learn.
