JOIN OUR HOUSEKEEPING OPERATIONS TEAM!

House Down South is a boutique short-stay property management company looking after a curated collection of beautiful holiday homes throughout the Margaret River region.

We’re looking for one or potentially two capable, down-to-earth people to join our operations team.

This is a hands-on role that sits at the heart of our day-to-day operations. You’ll move between our modern Margaret River warehouse and our properties in a House Down South van, supporting cleaners, checking properties, managing linen and supplies, and helping solve the many little things that arise in short-stay accommodation.

No two days are exactly the same—which is part of what makes the role compelling!

THE HOURS
We’re currently offering approximately 12–16 hours per week, with the possibility of additional hours for the right people.

Availability on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays is essential.

Weekday shifts generally fall between 9am and 3pm. Saturday shifts are usually around four to five hours, depending on how busy we are.

Saturdays may sometimes be alternated or shared across the operations team. However, during busy periods, applicants will need to be available every Saturday if required.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
The role includes:

- Completing pre-arrival and post-departure property checks

- Helping maintain our high cleaning and presentation standards

- Supporting cleaners with supplies, information and practical problem-solving

- Managing linen, amenities and operational supplies

- Keeping our warehouse organised and well stocked

- Delivering supplies and equipment to properties

- Identifying and reporting cleaning, maintenance or presentation issues

- Assisting with property resets or other practical tasks when needed

- Using apps and property management software

- Communicating with our wider team to help resolve guest and property issues

Sometimes everything runs beautifully.



Sometimes the day throws us a curveball. We need people who can stay calm, think practically and help work out what needs to happen next.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Previous experience in accommodation, housekeeping, property operations, inventory management or team support is strongly preferred. Short-stay accommodation involves plenty of moving parts, so we’re particularly interested in applicants who already understand high standards, time-sensitive operations and supporting a busy team.

Just as importantly, we’re looking for the right attitude, reliability and sound judgment.

You’ll be someone who:

- Is dependable and follows things through

- Notices the small details

- Takes ownership and uses initiative

- Stays calm when plans change

- Is organised and enjoys making things run smoothly

- Communicates warmly, clearly and professionally

- Is confident with technology and learning new systems

- Is practical, resourceful and willing to pitch in

- Welcomes feedback and takes pride in doing things properly

You’ll also need:

- Availability on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays

- Availability during school holidays and peak periods

- A current Australian driver’s licence

- Reliable transport to our Margaret River warehouse

- Confidence driving an automatic company van

- Australian working rights

- To live in Margaret River or close surrounds— ideally within approx. 20-25 minutes

A manual licence would be highly regarded but is not essential.
