Qualifications & experience
- The ability to adjust and adapt communication and body language to best suit our clients is essential.
- Completed certificate 3 in Individual Support or equivalent is required.
- Initiative, empathy and the ability to think on your feet is a requirement of the role.
- Current First Aid and CPR
- Open car license and reliable insured vehicle is essential for the role.
- Previous experience is desirable, but certainly not essential for the right candidate.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Assisting clients with household tasks.
- Providing personal care.
- Supporting clients to learn current skills, and encourage clients to build on their existing skills and strengths.
- Supporting clients with everyday tasks like grocery shopping and meal preparation.
- Working collaboratively with Allied Health professionals and informal support networks.
- Provide clients with support to safely access the community and engage in meaningful activities.
