To support ongoing growth, an opportunity exists for a Electrical Project Manager to join the team.
About the role
You will oversee and deliver the coordination of design and construction for all elements of transportable switchrooms focusing on Electrical Building Services & equipment. You will partner with clients, delivering to client expectations, always working to the highest quality and safety standards.
In addition, you will:
- Co-ordinate and supervise design team and sub-contractors across Fire protection design, preparation, reviewing & co-ordination of cable & termination schedules
- Preparation of functional descriptions, data sheets & other project related documentations including Hazardous Area when applicable
- Co-ordinate electrical equipment within the switchroom & ensure structural steel is appropriately designed to accommodate equipment
- Manage technical review of project specifications & drawings to develop a full understanding of all project electrical requirements
- Compliance of Switchroom, Light & Power & Electrical Equipment ensuring Australian Standards,
BCA & NCC are met
- Advise on electrical aspects of contracts including contracts administration, procurement, contract variations, procurement
- Work Collaboratively with Project Manager to co-ordinate cable ladder and electrical installation requirements
- Technical review of Project Specifications & Drawings
- Lead for Switchroom Light & Power & Electrical Equipment including;
- Lighting design & calculations
- Electrical protection design
- Distribution Board design
- Cable ladder design
- Security design & testing
- Electrical schematic preparation
- Electrical cable sizing calculations
- UPS / Battery design
- Testing & inspections of equipment

As a qualified Electrical Engineer, you will have experience as a Project Manager/Electrical Engineer in a related industry. With a passion for project management, you will be focused on quality and innovation and seeing your projects through to completion, delivering to customer expectations and quality standards.
