Civmec's Gladstone Maintenance division delivers specialised maintenance and shutdown services to refinery and heavy industrial clients in Queensland, partnering with operational teams to keep critical assets running safely and reliably.

As a Mechanical Fitter, you will support maintenance shutdowns and project works, servicing plant and machinery while installing and aligning new components to keep operations running efficiently.

The Role

- Support various maintenance shutdowns and project works
- Conduct project works on refinery plant and equipment
- Maintain a variety of fixed plant and machinery
- Service mechanical equipment to required standards
- Install new components across plant and machinery
- Conduct alignment of newly installed components
- Identify maintenance and repair requirements of fixed plant
- Provide mechanical fitting support during shutdowns
- Ensure work meets safety and quality standards
- Coordinate with team members on site tasks
- Maintain tools and equipment in working order

About You

- Australian recognised Trade Certificate
- Blue Medipass (desirable)




- Construction White Card
- Work Safely at Heights (desirable)
- Enter and Work in Confined Space (desirable)
- Gas Test Atmospheres (desirable)
- Minimum 5 years shutdown / site experience
- Ability to pass a pre-employment Medical and regular / random Drug and Alcohol screens
- Additional Tickets will be highly regarded
