Our client is a well-established fabrication and engineering business specialising in high-quality structural steel and modular construction projects. Due to an increase in workload, they are seeking 2 experienced Welders to join their workshop team in Welshpool.
The successful candidates will initially work on the fabrication of modular data centre units constructed within shipping containers. This project is expected to run for 2–3 weeks, with the potential for ongoing work based on project requirements.
What You Will Be Doing
As a Welder, you will be responsible for completing high-quality fabrication and welding work while maintaining a safe and productive workshop environment.
Your duties will include:
Fabricating and welding structural steel and modular components.
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and welding specifications.
Completing high-quality welds in accordance with project requirements.
Inspecting completed work to ensure quality standards are met.
Operating welding equipment and workshop tools safely.
Assisting with general fabrication and workshop duties as required.
Maintaining a clean, organised and safe work environment.
Working collaboratively with the workshop team to meet production deadlines.
Roster
Monday to Friday
Choice of 6:00am – 4:00pm or 3:00pm - 1:30am
30-minute unpaid lunch break
Opportunity for Saturday work as required
Immediate start
Initial 2–3-week assignment with potential for extension
What You Will Need
Trade qualification as a Boilermaker/Welder or equivalent industry experience.
Demonstrated experience in structural steel fabrication and welding.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Current Driver's Licence.
Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
Must be able to successfully complete a welding test prior to commencement.

$55.00 per hour (base rate including penalties) plus superannuation.
Penalty rates payable after 7.6 hours worked.
