Our Position:
This position sits within a vibrant and committed team of Diverse Learning Assistants and Teaching staff, reporting to the Head of Diverse Learning at the Senior School.

This is a Term Time Only position (attending whenever Teachers are required at School), focused on the learning needs of students and supporting teachers and other educators to develop and deliver exceptional levels of support to students.
Our Diverse Learning Assistants support students and teachers by:
- Supporting the classroom teacher with the education of all students and specifically students with diverse learning needs.
- Attending to student and staff pastoral care.
- Engaging in professional learning, formation and growth.
- Supportiing cocurricular involvement with designated students so they can engage in programs outside formal classroom environments.
- Undertaking general and administrative duties related to reporting and NCCD compliance.
- Fostering and strictly adhering to Duty of Care and Child Safety responsibilities.

Diverse Learning Assistant
Our Diverse Learning Assistants are assigned support across Years 7 - 12, depending on the needs of individuals students, working in the classroom alongside designated students and teachers.

Selection Criteria:
- Experience working with students with diverse learning needs or disabilities in a school setting. Disability Training / Behavioural Support experience will be a distinct advantage.
- Familiar with some targeted intervention strategies and learning programs.
- Capacity to demonstrate an aptitude, experience or qualification for this position.
- Extensive experience working with children that have disabilities through NDIS and NCCD funding is desirable.
- Appropriate qualifications including, but not limited, to any of the following:
- Certificate III in Education Support
- Certificate IV in Education Support
- Diploma of Education Support.
