About the Role
This is a hands-on role across tax compliance and advisory work. You'll be working closely with our team and directly with clients, so strong technical knowledge and valuable communication skills are both essential. The role is preferably based at our Maylands office 2–3 days per week, with the remainder worked remotely. Fully remote is available for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review individual and small business financials and tax returns
- Prepare business activity statements and other compliance work
- Assist with tax planning and advisory services, including FBT and Div 7A matters
- Research and apply current tax laws and regulations
- Communicate directly with clients via email, phone,
and video
- Review junior and offshore team members compliance work
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CA or CPA qualified, or working towards it
- Experience in public practice (tax focus preferred)
- Strong working knowledge of Australian tax law — FBT and Div 7A expertise highly regarded
- Proficient in Xero and Xero Tax
- Enthusiastic about technology and AI, and always looking for smarter ways to get the work done
- Confident communicator with strong written and verbal skills
- Valid work visa or Australian work rights required
