The Why

The Senior Manager, Risk Enablement (Business) (internally titled Partner) is a key first line risk role, partnering closely with senior business leaders to embed effective risk management across strategy, change, and day-to-day operations.

As a trusted advisor, you’ll translate risk and regulatory expectations into practical, business-aligned outcomes strengthening control environments, enabling informed decision-making, and driving uplift in risk maturity, accountability, and culture.

Key Responsibilities

- Partner with senior stakeholders to identify, assess, and manage key business and operational risks
- Provide pragmatic first line risk, control, and compliance advice across business activities, initiatives, and transformation programs
- Contribute to risk profiling and control effectiveness activities, including identification of material risks, key controls, and KRIs
- Support the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of controls, ensuring they are embedded and fit-for-purpose
- Monitor compliance with policies, standards, and regulatory obligations, proactively identifying and escalating emerging risks
- Support the management of incidents, issues, and remediation actions, ensuring timely and sustainable resolution
- Deliver clear, concise risk reporting and insights to stakeholders and governance forums
- Drive uplift in risk capability, culture, and first line ownership across the business
- Contribute to risk governance activities and engagement with second line and assurance teams




- Maintain awareness of regulatory expectations and industry best practice, translating these into actionable outcomes

Your Experience

- 6+ years’ experience in non-financial risk (operational and/or data risk) within a regulated environment
- Strong understanding of non-financial risk frameworks, controls, and regulatory obligations
- Proven experience assessing controls and partnering with stakeholders to uplift risk maturity
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders, balancing effective risk management with commercial outcomes
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements across data, technology, and operational risk domains
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to simplify complex risk concepts
- A pragmatic, outcomes-focused approach with sound judgement
