Darwin NT (with remote install trips)

Get away from the winter and spend the dry season working on country most Australians never see.

We're Between 23°, a prefab building company in Darwin and a growing team. We design and manufacture flat-pack, cyclone-rated buildings in our Berrimah workshop and install them in remote Indigenous communities across the Top End — Arnhem Land, the Tiwi Islands, the Kimberley and further afield. Recent jobs include a school and staff housing in Arnhem Land and a ranger workshop on the Tiwis.

We're after a labourer for the our company to work on project across the north.

Work through the dry remote and then in the shed over the wet

What you're walking into:

• Working in with our existing crew on install trips into remote communities

• Hands-on assembly and install of our flat-pack buildings — materials handling, site setup, footings, general site labour, helping the trades

• Practical input on the build as you go

• Roughly 3 weeks on / 2 off, but honestly variable with project demands — not a fixed FIFO roster FTE

• Small team, well-designed buildings, working primarily for Indigenous-owned organisations and ranger programs

• Not standard community housing. Our design-and-construct approach sits between a shed kit and a custom build — closer to the shed end for the build itself

What we cover:

• Mob and demob — fuel up and back, as long as you stick out the season

• Food when you're out bush on install trips

• Full time

What you bring:

- White Card

- Must pass a Working With Children Check

- Solid labouring / construction site experience — ideally building sheds or similar

- Minimum 1-2 years of labouring or construction site experience is required

- Your own 4WD,

- MR TRUCK LICENCE

- Self-sufficiency. You'll be living out of your vehicle a fair bit of the season

- Respect for the places we work

Bonus if you have:

- Steel fabrication experience

- Some experience around excavators, crane trucks or telehandlers (tickets not essential)

Straight up about access: the work gets you onto country most people never see. Beyond the build site, anywhere else you go is only with the invitation of traditional owners. That's how it should be. Work respectfully and those invitations happen. Treat it as a tourist checklist and you won't last long.

This isn't for everyone — heat, dust, long drives, remote camps, dry communities. If that's a problem, this isn't the gig. If it sounds like the best way to spend your time

Text or email a quick rundown of yourself — what you've built, where, and why this one caught your eye
