ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re looking for an Accountant with 4+ years of experience to take charge of essential financial functions across our Australian and Canadian operations. Based in our Osborne Park head office, you’ll play a crucial role in maintaining our financial integrity, reporting directly to the Financial Controller and Executive leadership, as well as collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key responsibilities include:
· Manage and lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
· Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
· Monitor and report on divisional expenditure and budgets.
· Manage cash flow and working capital, and lead the Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and payroll functions, ensuring efficient and accurate operations.
· Collaborating on annual budget process, reforecasting, and scenario analysis to meet evolving business needs.
· Collaborating on the preparation of statutory reporting, audit and tax requirements.
· Maintain fixed asset registers and capital expenditure reporting.
· Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and internal controls.
· Undertake other finance-related duties as required.
ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role, you’ll bring:
· Degree in accounting or finance. Completed or working towards CPA/CA qualifications preferred.
· 4+ years of experience in finance/accounting, ideally with exposure to multi-site organisations.
· Proficiency in QuickBooks and advanced Excel skills.
· Strong communication, with a proactive, problem-solving approach.
· Experienced in process improvements.
· Knowledge of Australian tax and audit legislation (knowledge of Canadian legislation would also be useful, however not essential), internal controls and risk management.
