Shift Miller

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Shift Miller to oversee flour milling operations and by-product processing within a modern manufacturing environment. My client are also open to meeting those who come from a Manufacturing background looking to learn and develop within this field***

Reporting to the Head Miller, you will be responsible for ensuring production targets, product quality and food safety standards are consistently achieved while supporting the wider operations team.

This is a hands-on role requiring strong technical knowledge of milling processes, quality control and production operations.
Key Responsibilities

- Operate and monitor flour milling and by-product processing equipment.
- Ensure production schedules are achieved while maintaining product quality standards.
- Monitor wheat and flour quality through regular testing and adjust mill settings where required.




- Maintain appropriate raw material stock levels to support uninterrupted production.
- Support and supervise Mill Operators during your shift.

What You'll Bring
- Previous experience within flour milling, grain processing, food manufacturing or a similar production workplace.
- Strong understanding of milling processes and quality control.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to identify and troubleshoot production issues.
- Knowledge of food safety, quality assurance and workplace health and safety requirements.
- Ability to work independently while leading and supporting production teams.
- Strong communication and shift handover skills.
- High attention to detail with accurate record keeping.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
