LoDe has five locations including Surry Hills, Circular Quay, North Sydney, Chatswood and our newly opened bakery / cafe in Rozelle.

Our Rozelle location is our flagship store, setting the standard for food, service and guest experience across the business.

The role

We are seeking an experienced Breakfast Chef to support the morning and lunch service at our flagship Rozelle café.

This is a senior, hands-on position suited to a chef who thrives in a premium café environment and can support our full-time Head Hot Kitchen Chef. The position works in close partnership with the Group Executive Chef and Rozelle Front of House Team.

Ideally would suit an experienced chef looking for additional hours or good work life balance in a kitchen with a positive culture and focus on consistency.

We are busy bakery searching for passionate and capable bakery colleagues. Both positions require an early morning start to assistant with production for our various locations across Sydney.

Key responsibilities

- Support daily breakfast / lunch service 5 days a week at the flagship Rozelle café
- Support daily bread and pastry production 5 days a week
- Prepare and present high-quality breakfast and brunch dishes to LODE standards
- Maintain consistency, speed and precision during busy weekend services




- Support in menu in collaboration with the Head Hot Kitchen Chef and Group Executive Chef
- Support menu development, refinement and seasonal updates
- Ensure food quality, portion control and presentation standards are met
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness, organisation and hygiene compliance
- Monitor stock levels, ordering and wastage control
- Comply with all food safety, hygiene and WH&S; requirements
- Work collaboratively with FOH and leadership teams to support service flow

About you

You will bring:

- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience as a Breakfast Chef or in a premium café environment
- Solid breakfast and brunch cookery skills
- Prior exposure to bread and pastry making and baking
- Experience working high-volume weekend services
- Ability to work independently and own a service and section
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Passion for quality, consistency and thoughtful execution
