Sweet Valley Bakery is a family-owned business renowned for its high-quality, handcrafted Vietnamese food and pastries. We proudly offer a wide selection of freshly baked goods, including Banh Mi (Vietnamese sandwiches), sourdough bread, pastries, and cakes. In addition to our bakery range, we serve authentic Vietnamese dishes such as rice paper rolls, vermicelli salads, and bao buns. Due to our continued growth and expansion, Sweet Valley Bakery is seeking a qualified and experienced Baker to join our team in Laidley, QLD.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

· Designing, testing, and refining recent and existing recipes to enhance product quality and variety

· Monitoring the proofing process to ensure optimal rise, texture, and consistency

· Baking bread, pastries, and other products in accordance with established recipes

· Measuring and preparing ingredients accurately using baking equipment such as mixers, ovens, and blenders

· Adjusting oven temperatures and baking times to achieve consistent results

· Preparing fillings and components such as ganache, caramel, and fruit-based fillings

· Decorating and presenting baked goods to a high visual standard

· Conducting quality control checks to ensure all products meet food safety and quality standards

· Applying decorative finishes including glazes, icings, and buttercream

· Shaping dough for products such as croissants, cookies, and sweet rolls

· Preparing customised baked goods, including specialty and celebration cakes

· Providing customer service, including taking orders, answering enquiries, and processing payments





· Maintaining accurate records of inventory, production schedules, and customer orders

· Coordinating order fulfilment and delivery schedules

· Maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic work environment

· Complying with all workplace health, safety, and food hygiene regulations

· Performing other duties as required within the scope of a qualified Baker

· Salary: $80,000 per annum + superannuation

· Working Hours: Approximately 38 hours per week

Pay: $80,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
