At Turosi Food Solutions Group, we’re taking a different approach — rather than a traditional Maintenance Fitter, we are seeking qualified Fabricators, Welders, or Boilermakers with strong hands-on experience and the right tickets to join our Bannockburn Hatchery team.

Set in a calm regional environment just 20 minutes outside Geelong, this role combines fabrication, welding and mechanical problem-solving within one of Australia’s most essential and innovative food production industries.

About the Role

You’ll play a critical role in keeping our operations running safely and efficiently, with a strong focus on fabrication, welding, and maintaining mechanical equipment.

Key responsibilities include:

- Fabrication, welding and repair of mechanical equipment and components
- Preventative and breakdown maintenance across hatchery equipment
- Working on boilers, steam systems, heat exchangers and pressure equipment
- Diagnosing faults and troubleshooting equipment issues
- Supporting installation and commissioning of new equipment
- Identifying opportunities to improve reliability and performance
- Ensuring all work meets safety, biosecurity and quality standards

What We’re Looking For

Essential:





- Trade qualification as a Boilermaker, Metal Fabricator, Fitter, or Welder
- Relevant tickets and certifications are required
- Proven experience in fabrication, welding, or mechanical fitting
- Experience working within an industrial or production environment
- Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Solid fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to safety and high-quality workmanship

Highly Regarded:

- Experience with boilers, steam systems or pressure vessels
- Background in food production, manufacturing, or agriculture
- Additional licences (Forklift, Confined Space, etc.)
