Our Airport West store is looking for a highly motivated, well organised and customer-focused person to join the team as an Internal Sales / Key Account Manager.

About the role

This is a key customer-facing role focused on looking after a portfolio of valued customer accounts while supporting the day-to-day operation of a busy electrical wholesale store.

The successful candidate will be responsible for building strong customer relationships, processing orders accurately, managing backorder follow-up and ensuring our key customers receive reliable service from all stages - enquiry through to delivery.

Key responsibilities

- Manage and support a portfolio of key customer accounts.
- Answer inbound phone enquiries and provide helpful, qualified customer service to new and existing customers.
- Process customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Assist with internal sales, pricing enquiries and product information.
- Prepare quotes and follow up customer requirements.
- Follow up with suppliers regarding customer backorders and keep customers informed.
- Liaise with team members, suppliers and customers to achieve strong service outcomes.
- Identify opportunities to support customer growth and strengthen account relationships.




- Maintain accurate records and follow internal processes.

About you
The ideal candidate will bring a robust customer service mindset, industry knowledge and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced store environment.

- Previous electrical wholesale experience is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of electrical suppliers, products and industry processes.
- Previous sales, internal sales, customer service or account management experience.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build long-term customer relationships.
- Sound computer literacy and confidence using business systems.
- High attention to detail, accuracy and follow-through.
- Current drivers licence.
- A proactive, organised and team-focused approach.

- Strong product knowledge across electrical, lighting, data, industrial and trade supplies.
- Experience supporting contractors, commercial customers or project-based requirements.
- Ability to prioritise urgent customer needs while maintaining a high standard of service.
