ANQ – An Nam Quan brings the flavours of Saigon to Adelaide. We're a family-rooted Vietnamese restaurant serving authentic dishes made with fresh ingredients and recipes passed down through generations — pho, banh mi, noodle salads, rice bowls, and fresh spring rolls, in a warm space where our motto is simple: come in, sit down, and let us feed you.
We're looking for a Junior Dishwasher / Runner to join our kitchen team — a great first step into hospitality for someone keen to learn.
The Role
As our Junior Dishwasher / Runner, you'll help keep the kitchen running behind the scenes — washing up, keeping things clean and stocked, and running food out to tables. It's an entry-level role with full training provided, ideal for someone just starting out in hospitality who's reliable, energetic, and ready to learn the ropes.
Employment type: Casual / Part-time Location: Hawthorn or Marryatville (shifts across both venues may be available) Hours: Includes evenings and weekends across our 7-day trading week
Key Responsibilities
- Wash dishes, cutlery, glassware, and kitchen equipment
- Keep the dish pit and kitchen area clean, tidy, and stocked with clean crockery
- Run food from the kitchen to the correct tables under guidance from senior staff
- Help transparent and reset tables alongside front-of-house staff
- Keep bins, rubbish, and recycling managed and tidy
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety standards at all times
- Support the wider team wherever an extra pair of hands is needed
About You
- Reliable, punctual, and keen to learn
- Comfortable being on your feet and keeping up during busy periods
- Happy to take direction and pitch in wherever needed
- A team player with a positive attitude
- Available to work evenings and weekends
- No experience required — this is an entry-level role and full training is provided
