We are seeking a skilled (AQF Certificate III qualified) and experienced Stonemason OR Tiler to join our team. The ideal candidate must have at least two years related experience in wall and floor tiling and or stonemasonry and will be responsible for installing and finishing wall and floor tiling systems, including ceramic, porcelain, and other tile materials as well as stone cladding, crazy pave, coping etc

The role involves working on a variety of projects, such as installing of a variety of tiles, and stone e.g. constructing and repairing structures made of stone, such as walls, floors, and other custom stonework.while ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and adherence to project specifications.

Key Responsibilities: tiler:

● Review blueprints to plan and execute tiling projects.

● Measure and cut tiles and other tile materials for edges, corners, and fittings according to specifications using hand tools, power tools, or tile-cutting equipment.

● Apply adhesives and set tiles in correct position, ensuring proper spacing, and alignment, and levelling

● Prepare surfaces and measurements for tiling (including removal of old tiles, cleaning, filling cracks)

● Install and finish wall and floor tiling systems

● Grout and finish tiles

● Clean and remove excess grout

● Determine needed materials through studying plans





● Apply waterproofing systems where required

● Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other team members to ensure project requirements are met.

● Maintain and operate tools and equipment safely and effectively.

● Ensure worksite safety and cleanliness.

- Shape and lay stones in patterns to construct or repair structures.

- Prepare and set stones in mortar or other binding agents.

- Inspect and repair existing stone structures.

- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other team members to ensure project requirements are met.

- Maintain and operate tools and equipment safely and effectively.

- Ensure worksite safety and cleanliness.

- Interpret blueprints and drawings to plan and execute stone masonry projects.

Requirements:

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in stone masonry or tiling

Tiling only: AQF Certificate III in Wall and Floor Tiling, or related, from a recognised Australian institution is required; or 3 years of related experience in

- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and cutting equipment.

- Robust understanding of stone or tile types, properties, and uses.

- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

- Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship.

- Valid work visa or appropriate Australian work rights required.

- Relevant trade certificate in stone masonry or tiling required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $77,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
