Duties:

- Inspect bakery equipment and work areas before production to ensure cleanliness and compliance with workplace health, safety, and food hygiene standards.
- Examine the quality of ingredients and accurately measure and prepare raw materials according to production requirements and recipes.
- Prepare dough and pastry by mixing, kneading, fermenting, dividing, shaping, and moulding to achieve the required consistency and quality.
- Produce and prepare a variety of pastry fillings in accordance with recipes and production specifications.
- Monitor baking temperatures, product appearance, and baking times to ensure consistent quality and prevent under- or over-baking.
- Oversee the production process, including dough preparation, loading products into ovens, baking, cooling, de-panning, and preparing finished goods for display or packaging.
- Apply glazes, icings, creams, and decorative finishes to buns, pastries, cakes, and other baked products to meet presentation standards.




- Operate and monitor commercial bakery equipment, including dough mixers, moulders, dividers, sheeters, and biscuit-cutting machines, ensuring safe and efficient operation.
- Clean, sanitise, grease, and maintain baking trays, tins, utensils, and bakery equipment to support efficient production and comply with food safety requirements.

Skills and Qualification expected of baker:

- Certificate III or relevant work experience of 3 years
- Combination of qualification and experience is an advantage
- Eye for details
- Knowledge of health and hygiene requirements
- Knowledge of Australian work safety standards
- Self – motivated
- Able to work autonomously
- Good time management and initiative skills
- Level of fitness
- Versatile to work
- Positive attitude

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
