- Penalty rates (adult rate from age 21):
- Sat: 125% ($35.15)
- Sun: 150% ($42.18)
- Public Holiday: 225% ($63.24)
- Late Night (10pm–12 am): 110% ($30.93)
- Early Morning (12am–6 am): 115% ($32.34)
- OT1 (first 2 hrs >38 hrs): 150% ($42.18)
- OT2 (thereafter): 200% ($56.24)
- Weekly IFA allowance (if applicable): $106.85 (in addition to hours worked) paid every week (Extra $5,556.20 per annum)
- Pay is paid weekly on Wednesdays

Education Provided – Setting You Up for Success!
If you do not have prior management experience or experience with McDonald’s, you will be enrolled in our Management in Training (MIT) Program for a period of three months. During this time,



you will be paid at the full qualified manager rate from day one—there is no “introduction pay" - If you are learning Management, you deserve to be paid as one.

As part of the MIT Program, you will be allocated 8 hours per week to complete your online training. Your remaining four shifts each week will consist of hands-on, shoulder-to-shoulder training, ensuring you gain practical experience alongside your learning.

Your Key Responsibilities

- Lead a team through busy shifts and support their development
- Oversee restaurant operations, including food safety and customer service
- Manage stock, crew performance, and shift tasks
- Ensure a clean, safe, and inclusive environment
- Deliver great experiences to our customers every day

What We’re Looking For

- Aged 18+ with full Australian work rights
- Available for a rotating roster - incl. weekends - (Saturdays are 125% $$ your base rate and Sundays are 150% $$) & overnights. Note: Unless you specifically request full-time overnight management, you generally only work a few per year - potentially covering sick, training days, and or Annual Leave.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Previous hospitality or management experience is helpful but not essential
- Ability to work across our Toowoomba Region restaurants (including Highfields & Westbrook)
- Willing to complete a police check (we pay for this)

- As we operate 24/7, this role requires availability to work across a rotating roster covering various times of the day (please note, this is not an on-call arrangement). You will receive your roster in advance, with your scheduled shifts provided four weeks ahead of time. Are you able to commit to being available for scheduling across different day parts?
- The M&H; Ward Group operates seven restaurants across the Darling Downs Region. To be eligible for this role, you must be willing and able to work across all seven locations. It’s important to note that five of our seven restaurants are within 10 minutes of the Toowoomba CBD, meaning there is no extensive travel involved. The furthest locations are Westbrook (approximately 20 minutes’ drive) and Highfields (approximately 20–25 minutes’ drive). While this flexibility is a requirement, you will not be asked to move between restaurants frequently. Transfers generally occur only in connection with promotions or operational needs. If and when required, are you able to transfer between restaurants?
