Pumpa Manufacturing is renowned throughout Australia for our engineering quality and reliability when it comes to manufacturing and developing semi-trailers.

To keep our operation running at peak performance, we are seeking a hands-on, skilled Mechanical Engineering Technician to join our Swan Hill manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities include:

- Evaluate machinery, tools, and technical equipment to recommend and carry out performance upgrades and functional adjustments as project requirements evolve.
- Assist with routine inspections, operational servicing, and adherence to established workplace safety standards and industry guidelines across plant equipment.
- Investigate operational disruptions and equipment issues to identify underlying causes and implement practical, long-term technical solutions.
- Serve as a technical point of contact for junior staff and operational support team members, offering assistance and skill development in day-to-day duties.
- Handle the selection and acquisition of mechanical components, tools, and replacement equipment, ensuring selections align with functional needs and budget considerations.
- Source and procure mechanical parts, equipment, and specialised tools.





What We Are Looking For

- Relevant qualifications and/or equivalent industry experience
- Strong technical background and experience in mechanical engineering, plant maintenance, or heavy machinery manufacturing.
- Proven track record in root-cause failure analysis and continuous equipment improvement.
- Knowledge of mechanical component sourcing, cost analysis, and system integration.
- Ability to train, mentor, and support assistant technicians clearly and effectively.
- Robust commitment to workplace health, safety standards, and regulatory compliance.
- Driver licence

What We Offer:

· Full time 38 hours

· Above Award Wages – Annualised base salary $80,000 to $100,000

· All Tools, Safety Equipment & Protective Clothing
