About Us
Hanami Asian Street Food is a busy and well-established Asian Fusion restaurant located in the heart of Coolum Beach on the Sunshine Coast. We are passionate about creating fresh, high-quality Asian-inspired dishes and delivering an outstanding dining experience. As our business continues to grow, we are looking for two experienced and motivated Full-Time Chef to join our team.
Position
Full-Time Chefs
- Permanent Full-Time
- 38–40 hours per week
- Based in Coolum Beach, QLD
Salary
$79,500 per annum plus superannuation.
Salary may be negotiated depending on skills and experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a wide range of Asian Fusion dishes to a consistently high standard.
- Assist with menu planning, recipe development and seasonal menu updates.
- Ensure food quality, presentation and consistency at all times.
- Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and kitchen cleanliness.
- Monitor stock levels, rotate stock and minimise food waste.
- Assist with ordering and inventory management.
- Work efficiently during busy service periods while maintaining quality.
- Train and support junior kitchen staff where required.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to deliver an excellent dining experience.
Skills & Experience
Applicants should have:
- Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent qualification).
- At least 2 years of relevant full-time experience as a Chef.
- Experience in Asian Fusion or Modern Asian cuisine is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen operations.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- A positive attitude, reliability and strong teamwork skills.
