Territory Generation is a Government Owned Corporation that was formed in 2014. We produce the majority of the electricity
to provide power to the people of the Northern Territory. Our vision is to be the Northern Territory’s trusted and respected
energy services business.

Leadership Responsibilities
As part of the leadership team you are accountable for building, communicating and achieving the shared vision for Territory
Generation. Key responsibilities :

- Work closely with executive management and direct reports to achieve cooperative outcomes benefiting

Territory Generation.

Role Responsibilities

You will provide executive level advice and leadership for the Maintenance Group and manage the maintenance of all power
stations in major centres across the Territory.

Your accountabilities include:

1) Provide executive level leadership and strategic direction to the Maintenance Group Teams to effectively and efficiently
manage the power plant facilities including management of safety, personnel, operations, maintenance, environmental
management, financial performance, planning and scheduling and customer service.

2) Develop and implement change management strategies for the team to build a core capability of people with
appropriate skills and knowledge within a genuine client service culture.

3) Ensure appropriate resourcing levels are managed and maintained to support operational (Production and
Maintenance) requirements and in conjunction with key stakeholders to maximise the efficiency of generated electricity
required to meet power system demand and ancillary services. This includes the efficient utilisation of fuel resources.

4) Provide strategic leadership to drive a positive Health, Safety and Environmental culture across the Region ensuring
safety and environmental KPIs are achieved in compliance with Safety and Environmental Management Plans.

5) Maintain and enhance relationships with key stakeholders to project a positive image of Territory Generation internally
and externally.

6) Actively model Territory Generation’s Values and behave in a manner that is consistent with the Code of Conduct in
order to drive a constructive culture.

7) Carry out duties in accordance with Territory Generation’s safety, environmental and quality policies, safety principles,
corporate values and strategies.

Selection Criteria

Essential

1) Tertiary qualification(s) in a relevant discipline combined with relevant senior executive experience, or an equivalent
combination of substantial relevant senior executive experience and education or training.

2)



Ability to provide executive level strategic advice on the management of maintenance of all power stations in major
centres across the Territory.

3) Ability to provide executive level strategic direction and leadership to the Maintenance Group Teams with the ability to
obtain wide support and commitment to the achievement of strategic and operational objectives.

4) Demonstrated ability to lead long and short-term planning for asset management and maintenance, with computer-
based maintenance and management systems.

5) High level ability to lead the development and promotion of a positive Health, Safety and Environmental culture across
the Region ensuring safety and environmental KPIs are achieved in compliance with Safety and Environmental
Management Plans.

6) Demonstrated high level knowledge of and experience with the processes involved in the maintenance of an open and
combined cycle gas fired power station and of heavy rotating equipment (gas turbines, compressors, electric motors
and turbo-generators etc) and steam raising plant.

7) Superior interpersonal skills particularly in communication, collaboration, negotiation, and conflict resolution in order
to balance competing demands and influence outcomes.

8) Excellent strategic, analytical and creative skills appropriate to making sound judgements on financial matters, risk
management and resource allocation to achieve high level business objectives.

9) Comprehensive knowledge of and experience in the power industry including facility operation, maintenance and overall
asset management.

10) Demonstrated commercial and financial acumen together with the ability to identify corporate risk and apply
appropriate risk management strategies.

11) The selected applicant must be available and willing to undertake extensive travel to major centres in the Northern
Territory.

12) Ability to carry out duties in accordance with Territory Generation’s safety, environmental and quality policies and
corporate values and strategies.

Desirable •

1) Tertiary qualifications in electrical or mechanical engineering, process engineering, maintenance management or similar
relevant field.
